ACTIVE RECALL
The simplest, most effective way to make vocabulary stick.
Created by an MFL educator & memory focused problem solver
I watched my French and Spanish students work hard… yet forget vocabulary just as fast. The issue wasn’t motivation, it was the method. So I built tiny recall tasks, tested spaced repetition, refined templates, and created a simple, structured method that actually worked. That method became the Active Recall Pack.

Why I created the new edition
Teachers don’t need more generic worksheets. They need a system rooted in real classroom experience and cognitive science — something students can use independently and teachers can implement instantly. The first edition of Active Recall was (and still is) flexible enough for any curriculum and complete enough to run as a full programme, but I knew it wasn’t yet a complete system.
So I expanded it with the elements that truly matter in real learning and teaching environments: access to audio files, structured reviews, spaced‑recall opportunities, and clear trackers and assessments to monitor progress. Each addition was designed to turn the pack from a helpful resource into a fully integrated Active Recall system that supports consistent, measurable learning, without adding to teachers' workload.
The most efficient way to make vocabulary stick
Students forget vocabulary because they re-read instead of retrieve. This pack flips that. It trains the brain to pull language out — not just recognise it — so progress becomes visible, confident, and long lasting.
Why Active Recall works
•Retrieval practice strengthens memory
•Spaced repetition prevents forgetting
•Micro tasks build momentum
•Independent learning reduces workload
Active Recall isn’t a trend — it’s the most evidence based way to learn vocabulary. This pack makes it effortless.
